Merritt had his very first horse show on Saturday and he did soo great!! When we started getting things together this winter, for him to show, I really just couldn't imagine him actually doing it!! hehe!! He is still my baby, after all!! 

He just kept telling us he wanted to, so we went with it!! He has been practicing hard and was getting so excited...very fun to finally see it all come together and him having such a great time!! So grateful August Ann was here to show him the ropes as well!! 

He couldn't wait for his turn in the ring and after it was all over, he said he wanted to do it again the next day!! He ended up getting 2nd in his halter class and 5th in leadline! Great work for his (and Jake's) first show!! They don't give out ribbons/trophys, but you accumulate points for year end prizes! We have another one on Sunday, then three weeks off until the next show we plan to attend! So proud of my little showman!! :)
